Kikambala is a village with approximately 34,400 inhabitants located in the Kilifi District, about 30 kilometers from the capital, Mombasa. Our projects are being implemented in this village.
Many people in this part of Kenya live in extreme poverty, without work, without adequate food, and in poor hygienic conditions. Children are the worst affected, as they are denied access to schools and training.
In Kenya, the majority of the population outside of urban centers has no opportunity for vocational training. Without training, young people cannot find qualified jobs and struggle to support themselves and their families. The unemployment rate in Kilifi County for people between the ages of 15 and 30 is XY%.
Children who grow up in such circumstances can hardly escape poverty even as adults, and thus this condition is passed on from one generation to the next. Under the motto "Helping people to help themselves," "Kinder in Kenia" has made it its mission to support these people.
The main prerequisite for getting a job is a good education, and this is where the project comes in. The association "Kinder in Kenia" has established a training center in the village of Kikambala WANN The training center currently includes a tailoring workshop, sustainable agriculture, a language school, and management and computer courses.
Please give hope to the youth of this world!
